What we collect, what we don’t, and what you control.
- We collect what we need to run the test, your account, and the program — nothing more.
- Your scores are private. Your employer only ever sees aggregate cohort data; your coach only sees your data with your explicit consent.
- We share data only with the third parties that help us deliver the service (Stripe, Firebase, AWS, etc.) — listed below.
- You can request a copy or deletion of your data at any time. Email support@personality.coach.
Six kinds of data, each for a clear reason.
Test answers and scores
When you take the free Big Five test, we save your answers, the resulting trait scores, percentiles, and the test language. If you re-take the test, prior results are kept so you can compare over time.
Program activity
If you join the 12-week digital coaching program, we save everything you generate while participating — daily behavior logs, in-the-moment observations, scenario answers, weekly reflections, your Personal Toolkit entries, and your Letter to Future Self. This is what makes the Week 1 → Week 12 comparison and progress report possible.
Account information
When you register, we collect your email address and a password (stored hashed by our authentication provider — we never see the plain-text password). If you upgrade or buy the program later, your account ties your test history to that purchase.
Payment information
Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not see or store your card number, CVV, or full billing details. We store transaction metadata: amount, currency, the plan you bought, and a Stripe payment ID.
Support correspondence
If you email us or use the live chat widget, we keep that correspondence — message content, your email address, and the timestamp — so we can follow up and improve our help.
Usage and device data
Like most websites, our hosting provider records the IP address and browser of each request. We use Google Analytics for aggregate usage statistics (which pages, how long, which device class). Cookies are listed further down.
Private by default. You decide who else gets to see.
- YouYour scores, reflections, behavior logs, and program history are visible to you any time in your dashboard.
- Cognirise Health staffA small operations team can see your data when needed to deliver support or fix bugs. Access is logged, role-restricted, and used only for those purposes.
- Your employer or organizationIf your company licensed the program for you, they never see your individual scores. They see aggregate cohort data only — e.g., "the team averages in the 45th percentile on Conscientiousness." Individual data is shared with your employer only if you explicitly opt in.
- Your coachIf you are working with a coach who uses the program with clients, they see your individual data only with your explicit consent during the engagement. You can revoke that access at any time from your dashboard.
- Other usersNo one else sees your data — unless you generate and share a read-only link to a specific result yourself.
Third parties that help us deliver the service.
- Amazon Web Services (AWS)Hosts our application servers, our primary PostgreSQL database, and our file storage. Your account data, test answers, scores, and transaction metadata are stored here.
- StripeProcess payments. We send Stripe the amount, currency, and plan; Stripe handles the rest. See stripe.com/privacy.
- Firebase Authentication (Google)Manage email + password sign-in. Your email and a hashed password are stored with Firebase. See policies.google.com/privacy.
- Google AnalyticsAnonymized, aggregate usage data — pages visited, session duration, device class. No personally identifying information is sent. See policies.google.com/privacy.
- Crisp ChatPowers the live-chat widget. When you open a chat, your message content and IP are stored by Crisp so we can reply. See crisp.chat/en/privacy/.
- Email providersStandard email infrastructure for transactional emails (sign-up confirmation, password reset, your report delivery) and our support inbox.
We do not sell your personal data and we do not share it with advertisers.
Retained only as long as we need.
- Test answers + scoresFor as long as your account exists, so you can revisit and compare.
- Program activityReflections, scenario answers, behavior logs, and Personal Toolkit entries are kept for as long as your account exists. The Week 1 → Week 12 comparison depends on this history.
- Account informationFor as long as your account exists. Deleted within 30 days of an account-deletion request.
- Payment recordsRetained for up to 7 years after the transaction to meet tax and accounting obligations — even if the underlying account is deleted.
- Support correspondenceRetained for up to 3 years from the last message, then deleted.
- Aggregate analyticsAnonymized and aggregated; retained per Google Analytics defaults.
What you can do with the data we hold.
Access
You can request a copy of the data we hold on you.
Export
You can request a portable copy of your test history and account data.
Correction
You can update your email or other account information from your dashboard, or email us.
Deletion
You can request deletion of your account and associated test data. Payment records may be retained for tax compliance (see above).
Opt-out
You can decline analytics cookies via the cookie banner. You can unsubscribe from marketing email at any time using the link in the email.

Sixteen and over.
personality.coach is not intended for users under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If you believe a minor has created an account or taken the test, please email support@personality.coach and we’ll delete the data.
We update this policy when our practices change. The “Last updated” date at the top of the page reflects the most recent revision. If a change materially affects what we do with your data, we’ll notify registered users by email before it takes effect.
